President: International cooperation should be further expanded to modernize Turkmengas facilities

 Last Friday, November 24, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers using the digital system.  The agenda included priority tasks related to the socio-economic development of the country, as well as a number of other issues.

 Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov, who spoke during the government meeting, reported on the state of affairs in the fuel and energy complex and practical steps being taken to intensify international cooperation in this area.

 As reported, the necessary work is being carried out to successfully implement the agreements reached during the visit of Hero-Arkadag to the Federal Republic of Germany on September 28–29 of this year.

 In this regard, the State Concern “Turkmengas”, in order to increase the volume of hydrocarbon production, is taking measures to increase cooperation with long-standing and reliable foreign partners, primarily in the field of introducing modern technologies, the latest scientific and engineering developments, as well as improving gas compressor stations.

 After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of modernizing gas compressor stations subordinate to the State Concern «Turkmengas».

 International cooperation in this direction should be further expanded, the head of Turkmenistan said, addressing the Vice-Chairman with a number of specific instructions.
