On Friday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, during a working trip to the Balkan velayat, took part in celebrations on the occasion of the commissioning and laying of a number of energy and social facilities.
The head of state arrived in the Turkmenbashi etrap to lay the foundation of a new energy facility – a combined cycle gas power plant with a capacity of 1,574 megawatts.
From here, the President, through digital communication, gave his blessing for the launch of the new Mary-Ahal overhead power transmission line and its connection to the country’s ring power grid. By pressing buttons, specialists from the Mary and Ahal state power plants put the new power line into operation.
Also, through direct communication via a digital system, Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave his blessing for the commissioning of two new gas turbine units for the production of electricity at the Turkmenbashi oil refinery complex.
Then the celebrations continued in the village of Guvlymayak, Turkmenbashi etrap, where the foundation stone of a large residential complex with appropriate social infrastructure, intended for employees of enterprises of the State Concern “Turkmenchemistry”, took place.
The President gave his blessing to the start of work on the construction of a residential complex, and to the applause of those gathered, the first shovels of concrete mixture were laid into the foundation of the future new building.
After this, the head of state blessed the start of construction of a new combined power plant with a capacity of 1,574 megawatts.
Having proceeded to the site of laying the new power facility, the President, according to established tradition, lowered a capsule with a memorable message into the foundation of the new building and, together with the honorary elders, laid the first shovels of concrete mixture into the foundation of the future power plant, kickstarting its construction.
4 gas turbines operating on natural “blue fuel” and 2 steam turbines produced by one of the world’s leading companies, General Electric (USA), will be installed here.
