At the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries (TCOR) in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan, two new gas turbine power plants, which are built on the basis of innovative technologies, are preparing to be commissioned.

Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov reported on preparations for the commissioning of new electricity generation facilities at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, built on the basis of innovative technologies, during a government meeting last Saturday.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered to take measures to hold at a high level the upcoming opening ceremony of two gas turbine facilities built at the Turkmenbashi oil refinery complex.  In this regard, the head of state addressed the Vice-Chairman with a number of specific instructions.

The President also noted that modern technologies should continue to be widely introduced at the plant’s subordinate enterprises and new jobs should be created.

It should be noted that two new gas turbine power plants, which are planned to be commissioned at the TCOR, have a design capacity of 70 Megawatt/hour. The plant also carried out reconstruction of the existing power plant.

New power plants will ensure a reliable supply of electricity to the new capacities of the flagship enterprise of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan.
