At the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, 44 transactions were registered last week.
Representatives of business circles from the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan purchased aviation kerosene and polypropylene (SC «Turkmennebit») for foreign currency, and businessmen from Turkey purchased motor oil.
Also sold for foreign currency were plain-dyed and jacquard terry products, denim products, rolled wadding, cotton fiber, and cotton yarn, which were purchased by entrepreneurs from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan.
The total amount of transactions amounted to more than 7 million 377 thousand US dollars.
For the local market, domestic entrepreneurs purchased polypropylene (SC «Turkmennebit»), handmade carpets, plain-dyed and jacquard terry and denim products, as well as cotton yarn and gray fabric for a total amount of over 57 million 680 thousand manats.
