Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov takes part in the III High-Level Forum “One Belt, One Road” in Beijing

 National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov takes part in the III High-Level Forum “One Belt, One Road”, the official opening ceremony of which began on Wednesday at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, TDH reports this.

 Delegates to the large-scale event included representatives of more than 140 countries and 30 international organizations, including state leaders and heads of international organizations.

 During the Forum, it is planned to discuss issues of developing cooperation in the field of investment, digital economy, and expanding trade relations.  Presentations of investment projects and signing of new agreements in various sectors of the economy are also planned.

 Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is expected to speak at the High-Level Conference on Connectivity, which will be held as part of the III High-Level Forum “One Belt, One Road” at the House of the People.

 The “One Belt, One Road” initiative is a concept proposed in 2013 by Xi Jinping to boost multilateral trade and investment projects with the participation of interested countries and the use of Chinese as well as foreign capital.  Over 150 states and more than 30 international organizations have already joined it.
