The meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat

Last Sunday, on the eve of the 32nd anniversary of the independence of the Motherland, a meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan was held in the capital under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
At the national forum, which became an event of historical significance in the life of our state and society, the results of the socio-economic development of the country were summed up and the successes achieved were discussed, as well as the priority tasks for further development and the implementation of fundamental changes aimed at ensuring a prosperous and happy life for the people.
The meeting was attended by heads of government bodies that are part of the Khalk Maslahaty, deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, heads of ministries and line departments, political parties and public organizations, khyakims of velayats, etraps and cities, members of velayat, etrap and city Halk Maslahats, honorary elders, grey-haired mothers, representatives of the public from all regions of the country.
Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov delivered a keynote speech at the meeting. The head of the Halk Maslahaty expressed confidence that this representative forum will be of great importance in consolidating the successes achieved over the years of independence, clearly defining tasks when considering the most important issues in the name of the prosperous life of the people.
Then, numerous participants of the Halk Maslahaty spoke at the meeting: representatives of the older generation, youth, specialists and employees of various sectors of the economy and government bodies.
Among them, the floor was given to the chief specialist of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, Allayar Mammedorazov, who in his speech emphasized that Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pays great attention to the dynamic development of the oil and gas sector. Significant investments are being made for these purposes. As a result of the transformations carried out in this direction, new hydrocarbon deposits are being developed, the volumes of oil and gas production, as well as high-quality processed products that meet international standards, are increasing. Turkmenistan is one of the world’s energy powers.
Thanks to the far-sighted policy initiated by the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty and now being implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the production capacity of the fuel and energy complex is being increased, and industry enterprises are being equipped with modern equipment, advanced digital and environmentally friendly technologies. The latest scientific achievements are being introduced into the activities of the oil and gas complex. The specialized infrastructure is expanding, new jobs are being created. All this contributes to the transformation of Turkmenistan into an industrialized state with a powerful economy.
Continuing the topic, it was noted that Turkmenistan is consistently implementing a strategy to diversify routes for energy supplies to world markets. The export potential of the oil and gas industry is growing. Mutually beneficial cooperation with foreign partners is strengthened and expanded. Clear examples of this are the completed construction of the Turkmenistan-China transnational gas pipeline, the construction of gas chemical complexes, and new promising infrastructure projects.
As A. Mammedorazov emphasized, workers of the oil and gas complex, inspired by the historical performance of Hero-Arkadag, fully support the proposals voiced by him, aimed at the further prosperity of the Motherland and the well-being of the people, their bright future.
In the afternoon, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the audience, who in his speech summed up the results of the work done in Turkmenistan and outlined the priority directions for the further socio-economic development of our country.
Addressing the meeting participants, Arkadagly Serdar emphasized that the main goal of the ongoing economic policy is the systematic improvement of the social and living conditions of the people. Currently, almost all the key tasks envisaged for the current year by the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country in 2022–2028 and the National Rural Program for the period until 2028 are being successfully implemented.
As the President noted, stable economic development is the main goal of our long-term strategy. Based on this, we are successfully implementing programs and reforms that have covered all areas of the country’s economy. We are carrying out the necessary work to further improve the efficiency and activity of state investment policy. We are systematically increasing the volume of investments aimed at accelerating the development of processing and manufacturing industries.
During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan signed documents on awarding citizens of the country who distinguished themselves in their work with state awards on the occasion of Independence Day.
Then, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, together with members of the Council of Elders, in a solemn atmosphere, to the thunderous applause of the participants of the national forum, presented President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who was awarded the title “Hero of Turkmenistan,” with a high state award.
Addressing his compatriots with a word of gratitude, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized that this high award obliges him to continue to work with inspiration, sparing no effort in the interests of his native people.
As Arkadagly Serdar noted, today our independent Motherland is confidently moving forward along the path of progress. Following the motto “The State is for the People!”, we carry out large-scale activities to systematically improve the well-being of our people.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed to develop a UN Special Program for Transport Development
