Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan and the Foreign Minister of Palestine discussed the possibilities of establishing mutually beneficial cooperation

 The presence of broad opportunities for establishing mutually beneficial Turkmen-Palestinian economic relations was noted at a meeting on Thursday between Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine and Affairs of Palestinians Living Abroad Riyad al-Maliki, TDH reports.

 Particular emphasis was placed on the existence of wide opportunities for establishing mutually beneficial economic relations aimed at the long term, the news agency notes.

 During the meeting, it was emphasized that the expansion of trade and economic cooperation and the establishment of direct contacts between businessmen and entrepreneurs of the two countries are seen as a priority.  Among the main vectors of interstate cooperation, the petrochemical and textile sectors, agriculture and processing industries, food exports, and digital technologies were identified.

 The guest conveyed heartfelt greetings from President Mahmoud Abbas and an invitation to visit Palestine to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.  Riyad al-Maliki stressed that his country is interested in strengthening dialogue with Turkmenistan, which has a glorious history and has won high international prestige with its peace-loving policy and creative initiatives.

 The head of the People's Council of Turkmenistan conveyed warm greetings and sincere gratitude to the President of the friendly Palestinian state for the invitation to visit Palestine.

 Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the current visit of the head of the Foreign Ministry of Palestine to Turkmenistan would be productive.
