Heads of energy departments of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will hold negotiations in the second half of the year to consider the possibilities of joint activities in oil and gas and electricity sectors. This is stated in a joint statement by the heads of state of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, adopted on the results of the tripartite tripart summit in Ashgabat on Friday.
“The Parties, noting the importance of developing cooperation in the energy sector, emphasized the special importance of cooperation in the field of natural gas, oil and oil products, as well as electricity”.
“In this regard, the Parties, based on the positive experience of trilateral energy cooperation, agreed to hold negotiations in the second half of 2023 at the level of energy department heads, in order to consider the possibilities of joint activities in the oil and gas and electricity spheres”, Joint statement of the leaders of the three countries said.
Global demand for oil will grow until 2028, – IEA
