Turkmenistan continues to occupy a leading position in the supply of pipeline gas to China.  In January-May, Turkmen “blue” fuel was sent to the Celestial Empire in the amount of 4.25 billion US dollars, while the growth was approximately 13.5%.  This was reported by the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China.

In second place is Russia (2.81 billion US dollars, an increase of 2.12 times), followed by Myanmar (an increase of 23.1%, to 630.53 million US dollars).  They are followed by Kazakhstan (decrease by 25.4%, to 300.13 million US dollars) and Uzbekistan (decrease by 60.71%, to 118.63 million US dollars).

Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have recently been reducing natural gas exports due to growing demand in the domestic market of these countries.
