Uzbek holding corporation Uzbekneftegaz and Petronas Charigali (Turkmenistan) SDN BHD are working on a program for supplying Turkmen oil to Uzbekistan in 2023, according to the Uzbek edition of Newshub.uz.

“Representatives of the two companies at a meeting in Tashkent discussed the prospects for cooperation in the oil industry, as well as the interaction of the Bukhara oil refinery in Uzbekistan with the production enterprises of Petronas Charigali. Particular attention was paid to the possibility of establishing long-term cooperation in terms of importing crude oil to the plant,” the report says.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties reached an agreement on the joint preparation of the oil supply program from Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan this year.

In particular, we are talking about the possibility of importing crude oil to load the capacity of the Bukhara oil refinery. Petronas Charigali (Turkmenistan) SDN BHD is one of the foreign oil and gas production operators in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.
