Under this slogan, a gratitude conference was held at the Central Building of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan. It was attended by heads of all branches of the oil and gas complex and representatives of labor collectives.

Among the speakers at the forum were the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shahym Abdrahmanov, the State Minister – Chairman of the Türkmengaz State Concern Batyr Amanov, the Chairman of the Türkmennebit State Concern Guvanch Agajanov, the Chairman of the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation Merdan Roziyev, the Hero of Turkmenistan, People’s Writer of Turkmenistan Gozel Shaguliyeva, the Head of the Department of Magtymguly TSU, Professor Atajan Burunov, the Head of the Department of Yagshigeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Professor Nuryagdy Suvhanov, the Chairman of the Council of Trade Union of Oil and Gas Industry Workers of Turkmenistan Sapar Ataberdiyev and the Editor-in-Chief of the Nebit-Gaz Newspaper Ussa Ussayev.

As it is known, on December 21 last year, at an extended off-site meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the good news was announced that a decision had been made to give the status of a city to the new, modern administrative center of the Ahal velayat. At the meeting, a decision was also made to name this center the city of Arkadag, Ahal velayat. The good news, which caused a wide resonance among compatriots, was also supported by workers of the oil and gas complex.

The good news, which is of particular importance for all Turkmen citizens, complemented the joyful events on the eve of the New Year. The new administrative center of the Ahal velayat, the first stage of construction of which is nearing completion, was given the status of a city, and was also given the name – Arkadag. This became the embodiment of the wishes of the Turkmen people in reality. The city of Arkadag is a fruit of the tireless creative work of the Hero-Arkadag in capital construction for the benefit of the country.

In order to ensure safety in the city, “smart” video surveillance systems, modern traffic lights, other road signs and drinking water and natural gas consumption metering systems will be installed around residential buildings, institutions, streets and roads. The electric buses, electric vehicles operating in the world, the technical characteristics of these vehicles and their pre-required number of units have been studied. The conveniences and advantages of the new center serve as a weighty reason for Arkadag to become one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

One of the picturesque corners of the Turkmen land – a new city built at the foot of the mountain – evokes feelings of admiration in everyone. In this modern educational center, the happy generation of our era will comprehensively develop and improve their skills. They will live in new luxury homes that meet international standards. As part of the ongoing urban planning activities in the new city, special importance is attached to the digital system. The features of the architectural infrastructure of the new “smart” city are immensely pleasing and cause a sense of pride among our people.

Representatives of the oil and gas industry of the country gladly supported the Resolution of the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh, according to which the institutions of the new city were given new names, among them are Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children's Health and Rehabilitation Center, the Arkadag Monument in the central park, Aba Annayev International Horse Breeding Academy, Berdimuhamed Annayev Pedagogical Secondary Professional School of the Ahal velayat, Sachly Dursunova Medical Secondary Vocational School of the Ahal velayat, Gerogly State Equestrian Circus of the Ahal velayat, Dovletmammed Azadi Regional Library of the Ahal velayat, Aman Gulmammedov State Drama Theater of the Ahal velayat, Sahy Jepbarov Regional Specialized School of Arts of the Ahal velayat and Shukur Bagshy Regional Children’s School of Arts.

As well as the construction of the building complexes of the administrative center of Ahal, the improvement of its surroundings is also being carried out under increased attention. According to the plan for the construction of the first stage of the city of Arkadag, it is planned to plant garden seedlings on an area of about 288 hectares. This will help make the area even more beautiful and its ecology cleaner than ever before.

Speakers at the meeting also expressed their joy at the decision to give the new administrative center of the velayat the status of a city, which, in addition to the name Arkadag, is also notable for being the first “smart” city in the region.

The performances of the artists of the Cultural and Business Center of the Oil and Gas Complex, who glorifies the successes and achievements of our country in their song and musical numbers, left a pleasant impression on those gathered in the hall.

At the end of the event, the employees of the oil and gas complex adopted an appeal to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Hero-Arkadag.
