Turkmenistan solemnly celebrated the 31st anniversary of the country's independence

On September 27, Turkmenistan hosted festive celebrations on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of the independence of our country.
In the early morning, a flower-laying ceremony was held at the Independence Monument of Turkmenistan. The ceremony was attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, leaders and representatives of the government, parliament, public organizations, political parties, elders, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Ashgabat, and foreign guests.
Then, in front of the State Tribune complex in the southern part of the capital, a military parade and a festive procession of columns of the country's workers and students took place. The event was broadcast live on all national television channels.
The military parade opened with the passage of the flag group, which carried the State flag of Turkmenistan and the battle colors of all branches of the armed forces of the country in front of the state tribune. Then a review of the latest military ground and air equipment, which is in service with the national army, took place. In addition, the naval parade held in the Balkan province of the country was broadcast on large screens installed on the square.
The military parade once again demonstrated the high level of professionalism of the Turkmen National Guard, excellent dressing of the personnel, samples of equipment and weapons.
The festive event continued with performances by creative teams and a demonstration of the achievements of the national economic complex of Turkmenistan over the years of independence. The procession was attended by representatives of all sectors of the national economy, culture, education, healthcare, scientific and sports circles, as well as all regions of the country.
Also, in honor of the main holiday of the country, a solemn commissioning of various facilities took place.
As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted in congratulating the people of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 31st anniversary of state independence, “The sovereignty of our Homeland is the foundation of a happy and prosperous life for the people of the country. Excellent labor victories achieved during 31 years of independent development are the embodiment of patriotism, unity and cohesion, conscientious and hard work of the people of Turkmenistan”.
In his congratulatory message, the President also emphasized that “Great successes have been achieved in the political, economic, cultural and social spheres over the years of independence. During this time, Turkmenistan has become a country with a powerful economy, a perfect social system, a rapidly developing state that enjoys great prestige in the world”.
