Specialists of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan discussed the draft Agreement on the delimitation of the bottom of the Caspian Sea

 The provisions of the draft Agreement on the delimitation of the bottom of the Caspian Sea were discussed during the regular meeting of the joint working group on the delimitation of the bottom of the Caspian Sea between Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan, held in Baku on September 12-13.  This is reported by the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

 The Turkmen delegation was headed by the director of the Institute of the Caspian Sea, special representative of Turkmenistan for the Caspian Sea Myrat Atajanov, the Azerbaijani one – by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, special representative of the President of Azerbaijan for borders and the Caspian Sea Khalaf Khalafov.

 The meeting was attended by representatives of the relevant ministries and relevant departments of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan.

 The parties agreed to continue the negotiation process on the delimitation of the bottom of the Caspian Sea.
