Serdar Berdimuhamedov recognized as elected President of Turkmenistan – CEC

 The largest number of votes in the elections of the President of Turkmenistan – 72.97% - was won by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

 This was reported today on the website of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums (CEC) in Turkmenistan.

 Other candidates received from 1.1% to 11.09% of the vote.

 “In accordance with Article 76 of the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan and based on the decision of the Central Election Commission dated March 14, 2022, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov, who received 72.97% of the votes, was recognized as the elected President of Turkmenistan, the CEC said.

 The inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Turkmenistan will be held on March 19 at the Oguzhan Palace Complex.
