The Consul General of Turkmenistan visited the facilities of the TATNEFT company in Tatarstan

The Consul General of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Kazan) Atadurdy Bayramov paid a working visit to the facilities of TATNEFT, the website of TATNEFT reports.
The Consul General got acquainted with the activities of the PJSC TATNEFT Modeling Center and its capabilities in building geological and hydrodynamic models for oil fields.
During the visit, the Consul General also visited the new research campus of the Almetyevsk State Oil Institute under construction in Almetyevsk, met with students from Turkmenistan studying at the institute.
Atadurdy Bayramova was presented with the TATNEFT Corporate University, which provides advanced training for specialists for the oil-producing and processing industries. Cooperation issues were discussed with the participation of Nail Maganov, General Director of TATNEFT.
The partnership in the field of oil and gas production between TATNEFT and the State Concern «Turkmennebit» at the Goturdepe field has been developing for over 10 years and is enshrined in the relevant Agreement between Tatarstan and Turkmenistan dated June 28, 2008, the Protocol on the development of cooperation in the oil and gas sector, signed in July 2008 , as well as a service contract between Tatneft and State Concern «Turkmennebit», which is continued by additional agreements.
Within the framework of a service contract, TATNEFT specialists are implementing a production program to enhance oil recovery at the wells of the Goturdepe field. Only due to geological and technical measures it was possible to increase production by 18%. At the beginning of November, geological and technical measures carried out at 197 wells made it possible to additionally produce more than 400 thousand tons of oil, create more than 700 jobs, the website of TATNEFT reports.
TATNEFT also organized service production in Turkmenistan for the repair of electric submersible pumps, tubing, and built an industrial base for repair work.
The parties discussed the strategy for further mutually beneficial cooperation presented by the company's specialists, which will allow doubling oil production at the fields of Turkmenistan.
They also considered the issue of training students from Turkmenistan at the Almetyevsk State Oil Institute on the master's program in geological and hydrodynamic modeling, which allows increasing the competence of specialists in the field of oil production.
Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan intend to strengthen cooperation in the gas industry

On December 6, a meeting was held in Ashgabat between the management of the Turkmengas State Concern and a delegation from Turkey headed by Abdulvahit Fidan, Director General of BOTAŞ.
