Turkmenistan exported 54.9 thousand tons of aviation fuel to Georgia in 10 months

In January-October 2021, Turkmenistan exported 54.9 thousand tons of aviation fuel to Georgia, according to the Association of Importers of Oil Products of Georgia. During this period, the total volume of aviation fuel supplied to Georgia amounted to 73.5 thousand tons.
The supply of these products from Turkmenistan accounted for about 74.7% of the total volume of aviation fuel purchased by Georgia for 10 months of this year. Thus, our country has become a leader among suppliers of aviation fuel to Georgia.
Azerbaijan took the second place in terms of supplies (12 thousand tons), the third – Italy (10.5 thousand tons).
It is also reported that in January-October Georgia increased the volume of purchased aviation fuel by 54.7% compared to the same period last year. A significant increase in its imports is associated with the resumption of flights. This trend is predicted to continue in the near future.
It is noteworthy that Georgia actively purchases other types of oil products from Turkmenistan. So, in the first half of 2021, 122.6 thousand tons of gasoline and diesel fuel were supplied to Georgia from our country, which amounted to 23% of the total import of these products.
Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan intend to strengthen cooperation in the gas industry

On December 6, a meeting was held in Ashgabat between the management of the Turkmengas State Concern and a delegation from Turkey headed by Abdulvahit Fidan, Director General of BOTAŞ. The Turkmen side was led by Maksat Babayev, State Minister of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the Turkmengas State Concern.

Turkmenistan became one of the three largest suppliers of automotive fuel to Uzbekistan. In January-October, the export of Turkmen fuel to Uzbekistan amounted to 136 million liters of gasoline, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan reports.
