Turkmen specialists undergo «green» technology internship in Germany

As part of a strategic project of the European Union and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), representatives of Turkmenistan's energy sector and scientific community are undergoing an international research internship at Clausthal University of Technology in Germany. The program runs from July 25 to August 16 and focuses on modern technologies in renewable energy, methane emission reduction, and the introduction of artificial intelligence in industry.
The Turkmen delegation includes representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of the State concern «Türkmengaz», and specialists from the State concern «Türkmengaz».
During the three-week program, participants are studying the basics of artificial intelligence and machine learning, data processing and analysis methods, neural network design, and practical aspects of applying digital technologies in industrial production. Special attention is given to ensuring the integrity of oil and gas wells, directional drilling technologies, methane leak detection, and the use of artificial intelligence algorithms to forecast the efficiency of photovoltaic installations.
The program also includes visits to major German industrial enterprises, including a sulfur gas processing plant and renewable energy facilities. The knowledge and practical experience gained are expected to be applied in the educational and research activities of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan and the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University.
