Turkmenistan and Germany discussed the prospects of cooperation in the energy, transport, and investment sectors

Prospects for deepening Turkmen-German trade and economic ties were discussed in Ashgabat at a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova with the Executive Director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, Michael Harms, reported on July 15 on the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
During the conversation, the parties stated a high level of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Germany. The parties paid special attention to the deepening of trade and economic ties, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes. In this context, the prospects for the introduction of advanced German technologies in the modernization of the industrial sector of Turkmenistan were considered.
The possibilities of cooperation in the field of traditional energy, the introduction of renewable energy sources (RE) and the rational use of water resources are also considered.
The high potential of Turkmenistan as a key logistics hub and expressed interest in joint infrastructure development projects. The parties also outlined ways to strengthen interaction with German financial institutions to support joint investment projects.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed the mutual commitment to further expanding the dialogue, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes.
