On June 4, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan hosted a Turkmen-American business forum in a roundtable format. Participants outlined specific plans for joint work in key areas, TDH reports.

The meeting was attended by heads of Turkmenistan's ministries and agencies, as well as a delegation of U.S. businessmen led by Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council.

Recognizing the significant opportunities for taking Turkmen-American cooperation to a new level in various economic sectors, including investment, high-tech implementation, and increasing mutual trade turnover, the forum participants outlined specific plans for joint work in key areas.

Priority areas for partnership included trade and investment, industrial development, agriculture, and the supply of equipment for the agro-industrial complex and water management.

They also noted significant prospects for cooperation in the fuel and energy, transport and communications, construction, innovative technologies, cybersecurity, healthcare, and environmental protection sectors.

Noting the growing interest of leading American companies in expanding diverse cooperation, representatives of the American business community confirmed their intention to actively participate in the implementation of large-scale government programs launched in Turkmenistan.

Business leaders from both countries emphasized that the Turkmenistan-American Business Cooperation Association (TABCA), established in May, will complement existing cooperation platforms between the two countries and promote the development of trade and economic ties in areas of mutual interest.

The forum also included bilateral meetings between representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan and the American business community.
