A government meeting discussed the fuel and energy sector's performance for January-April 2026

On May 1, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to review the country's work over the first four months of this year, TDH reports.

During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov reported on the progress made in January-April 2026 to increase oil and gas production and expand supply routes to global markets.

As reported, the State Concern Turkmennebit fulfilled its oil production plan by 107.1 percent.

During the specified period, the plan for oil refining at oil refineries was fulfilled at 104.9 percent, gasoline production at 113.7 percent, diesel fuel at 108.7 percent, lubricants at 110.3 percent, liquefied gas at 122.1 percent, and natural and associated gas production at 106.7 percent.

Summarizing the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted the need to further increase natural gas and oil production in the country. In this regard, the head of state instructed the Vice-Chairman to take comprehensive measures to fully utilize production facilities and improve the efficiency of geological exploration and drilling operations.
