Speaking at the Turkmen-Chinese Business Forum, Batyr Jumayev, Deputy Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmennebit," emphasized the key role of the oil and gas industry in the country's economy and its importance for the Caspian region and Central Asia.
As noted, Turkmenistan's production cycle covers all stages—from raw material extraction to deep processing of gas condensate. The industry's flagships, the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries and the Seydi Oil Refinery, fully meet market demand and export high-quality products.
Currently, 29 contracts are being implemented within the framework of the Turkmen-Chinese partnership. Turkmenistan is actively purchasing modern Chinese equipment for power engineering and specialized machinery, which is contributing to the technical re-equipment of the concern's production facilities.
"I would like to specifically highlight the activities of our key partner, the international oilfield services company of the Chinese petrochemical corporation Sinopec," said Batyr Jumayev.
Under the service contract, Sinopec carries out well workovers and rehabilitation, sidetracking, directional drilling, bottomhole stabilization, and water shutoff operations. Thanks to the Chinese company's high-tech work, new oil production has reached over 900,000 tons, and daily production has reached over 1,500 tons.
Batyr Jumayev particularly noted the interest of Chinese companies in working in the Turkmen market and the high efficiency of joint projects. Cooperation with key Chinese partners creates a solid foundation for mutually beneficial development, allowing both countries to expand the scope of their energy dialogue.
