On April 29, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a Turkmen-Chinese business forum to discuss prospects for further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and China in various economic sectors.
Myrat Archayev, Deputy Chairman of the State Concern Turkmengas, spoke at the forum. In his address, he noted that Turkmenistan intends to develop cooperation with China in the gas industry, including the supply of equipment and machinery, as well as the digitalization of production processes.
"I would like to specifically highlight areas of practical significance for a wide range of Chinese companies. These include the supply of equipment, machinery, and materials for our concern's production facilities," said Myrat Archayev.
He noted that Chinese manufacturers are already playing a significant role in Turkmengas' projects. A striking example is the construction of the Afghan section of the TAPI gas pipeline, which involves more than 200 units of specialized construction equipment, much of which was supplied by Chinese manufacturers.
"This experience demonstrates that Chinese equipment operates successfully under the most demanding conditions of Turkmen projects," emphasized the Deputy Chairman of Turkmengas.
As noted, promising areas of cooperation in this area include the supply of heavy construction and excavation equipment, drilling equipment and blowout prevention systems, large-diameter tubular products for main gas pipelines, process equipment for gas treatment and processing facilities, as well as welding and insulating materials.
In this regard, Myrat Archayev invited Chinese companies to actively participate in the tenders held by the concern.
The Deputy Chairman of Turkmengas also noted the significant potential for cooperation in the field of digitalization, including real-time well monitoring systems, automated control systems, and integrated field management platforms.
"We are open to pilot implementations and replication of successful solutions," added Myrat Archayev.
