Turkmen-Chinese exhibition opened in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan on April 28, aimed at further strengthening of bilateral trade and economic cooperation With Chinese companies and investors.

A large-scale event brought together more than 200 Chinese business structures in Ashgabat. Among them are longtime partners interacting with our country, and those who just intend to gain a foothold in the promising Turkmen market. The opening of the forum was attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, the Vice-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, the media, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and international structures accredited in Turkmenistan.

The participants listened to the congratulatory Message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the Turkmen-Chinese business forum and exhibition. The head of state emphasized that the PRC is a major trade and economic partner of Turkmenistan. The priority areas of cooperation are the oil and gas industry, transport and logistics, digital technologies, telecommunications, science and education, tourism. The President expressed his firm confidence that “so large-scale events will give a positive impetus to the deepening and increase of dialogue and trade and economic partnership between Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of China”. Videos about the main directions of Turkmen-Chinese cooperation were demonstrated, among which the fuel and energy complex occupies an important place. This year, Turkmenistan and China celebrate the 20th anniversary of the gas sector partnership. The International Scientific and Practical Conference, a meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee, and the signing of a number of intergovernmental documents were timed to this date.

An important confirmation of the further development of mutually beneficial relations between Our countries in this segment were the solemn ceremony of the start of the fourth stage of the development of the gas field "Galkynysh", held with the participation of the Hero-Arkadag and the first deputy prime minister of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Xuesiang.

The stands of the fuel and energy sector, including CNPC, Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum and Shaanxi Yulin Energy and others, took a special place in the current exposition. Exhibition visitors with great interest were introduced to advanced developments in the construction and modernization of gas and petrochemical complexes, technologies for identifying deposits and assessing the reserves of raw materials, equipment and equipment necessary for drilling operations.

The exhibition also demonstrated the achievements of Chinese business in various areas, including the transport and logistics sector, construction industry, motor transport, artificial intelligence, agriculture and other areas.

The exhibition also held bilateral meetings of the leaders of the fuel, energy, trade, financial and economic, and other sectors of Turkmenistan with representatives of large Chinese companies, during which the mutual commitment to the comprehensive development of cooperation in areas of mutual interest was confirmed.

During the Turkmen-Chinese business forum, scheduled for On April 29, key areas for further development of cooperation between the two countries will be discussed in detail.
