On April 18, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital means, where a number of issues related to state affairs were discussed, TDH reports.
During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov reported on the draft Resolution "On the Establishment of the State Enterprise Galkynyshgaz of the State Concern Turkmengas."
As noted, the State Concern signed a contract with CNPC Amudarya Petroleum Company Ltd. of the People's Republic of China for the design and turnkey construction of a facility for the treatment of 10 billion cubic meters of marketable gas per year, as well as production wells necessary for the treatment of the same volume of marketable gas.
It was also reported that Hero-Arkadag participated in the launch of construction work on the fourth stage of the Galkynysh gas field's industrial development. On this occasion, the Vice-Chairman, on behalf of all employees of the oil and gas industry, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people.
To ensure the proper implementation of the assigned tasks, strengthen oversight of the project's implementation, coordinate work with the contractor, and ensure the full commissioning and management of the facility in the future, the Vice-Chairman submitted a draft resolution for the head of state's consideration.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the launch of construction work on the fourth stage of the Galkynysh gas field's industrial development recently took place with the participation of Hero-Arkadag, marking an event of historic significance. In order to successfully address the challenges facing the oil and gas industry, the head of state signed the Resolution “On the establishment of the state enterprise Galkynyshgaz of the State Concern Turkmengas”, instructing the Vice-Chairman to take the necessary measures in this direction.

Since the beginning of 2025, the “Nebitgazchykarysh” Trust of the State Concern “Turkmennebit” has produced 1 million 278 thousand 817 tons of "black gold". Much of the credit for this goes to the drillers of the “Nebitgazburawlayysh” Trust, who have drilled 57 thousand 246 meters of production wells and 16 thousand 51 meters of exploratory wells since the beginning of the year.
