The government meeting discussed the fuel and energy sector's performance for the first quarter of 2026

On April 3, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to review the country's performance over the first three months of this year, TDH reports.
During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov reported on the work completed in January–March of this year to increase oil and gas production and expand supply routes to global markets.
As reported, the State Concern Turkmennebit fulfilled its oil production plan by 106.9 percent.
During the specified period, the plan for oil refining at oil refineries was fulfilled at 108.7 percent, gasoline production at 119 percent, diesel fuel at 111.8 percent, polypropylene at 100 percent, lubricants at 100.4 percent, liquefied gas at 126.7 percent, and natural and associated gas production at 107.5 percent.
Summarizing the report, the President of Turkmenistan noted the need to continue appropriate work on oil and gas production and increase export volumes.
The head of state instructed the Vice-Chairman to take ongoing measures aimed at efficiently utilizing the complex's production capacity and to continue drilling exploratory wells.
