Employees of the Gundogargazakdyrysh Department of the Turkmengasakdyrysh Association continue to ensure uninterrupted natural gas transportation through high-pressure main gas pipelines, which total more than 3,900 kilometers in length, in 2026. Their efficient operation ensures a reliable gas supply to residents and businesses in the Mary and Lebap velayats.
The department's specialists regularly monitor the operation of 93 gas distribution stations and 14 regulating units, ensuring compliance with technological requirements and the proper supply of natural gas. Last year, the network delivered more than 42 billion cubic meters of gas to both domestic and foreign consumers.
Modern metering, regulating, and purification units have been installed at gas distribution stations belonging to Services No. 1 and No. 2. To prevent interruptions in fuel supply, preventive maintenance and major repairs are regularly conducted on main gas pipelines.
In particular, in 2025, worn pipes were replaced with new ones on the Sakar-Atamyrat and Zerger-Sakar main gas pipelines, and welding and other restoration work were carried out. Significant repairs were also carried out at control facilities, including the Garagum and Shatlyk gas compressor stations, which ensure gas exports to foreign markets.
On the first section of the Shatlyk-Garagum gas pipeline, major repairs have been completed on a 13.7-kilometer section. New pipes have already been installed along most of the line, and work is ongoing to fully connect it to the existing pipeline.
Specialists at the Dovrebap station in the village of Dovletli Zaman in the Oguzkhan etrap make a special contribution to providing gas to consumers. Operators monitor the fuel supply around the clock, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of small and medium-sized businesses in the region.
As Bayramgeldi Atayev, head of the Gundogargazakdyrysh department, noted, the gas industry's efforts are aimed at fulfilling the President's objectives of increasing production and ensuring uninterrupted supply of natural gas to both domestic and foreign consumers.
