Scientists and specialists from the Nebitgazylmytaslama Institute in Balkanabat, part of the State Concern Turkmennebit, are making a significant contribution to the development of the oil and gas industry in Turkmenistan.

The institute's specialists are working to scientifically substantiate new methods in various areas of the industry and find solutions. Along with the development of new wells, one of the main tasks is currently maintaining stable operation and increasing the productivity of existing wells.

Research is also underway to limit the flow of formation water, prevent water ingress from formations, and develop more effective methods for cleaning up paraffin deposits. Researchers at the Nebitgazylmytaslama Institute have achieved good results performing similar work at oil wells in the Goturdepe, Barsagelmez, Keymir, Altyguyi, Gunorta Gamyshlyja, and Cheleken fields within the Balkan region.

The purchase of new equipment for studying the litho-reservoir and mineralogical composition of rocks, structural features, commercial oil properties, degassing rates, and the performance of drilling and cement slurries will further enhance the institute's efficiency, according to the website turkmennebit.gov.tm.
