The President of Turkmenistan and the Turkish Minister of Trade discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation

On February 10, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Turkish Minister of Trade Omer Bolat, who was visiting Ashgabat, TDH reports.

Noting that Turkey is one of Turkmenistan's closest fraternal states, Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the interstate relations are long-term and strategic in nature. Regular reciprocal visits and talks between the two countries' government delegations significantly contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation.

Noting the positive dynamics in the development of trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Turkey, the head of state emphasized that our country places special emphasis on introducing new technologies and the latest scientific advances into various sectors, as well as on the consistent modernization of the national economy.

During the meeting, it was noted that Turkey has held a leading position in Turkmenistan's foreign trade for many years, with mutual trade growing annually. Regular bilateral exhibitions serve as an important tool for developing effective trade and economic relations.

In this regard, the Turkmen leader expressed confidence that the results of the Turkish Export Goods Exhibition opening in Ashgabat will provide impetus for the further development of business ties with Turkish companies and the active attraction of investment.

The President of Turkmenistan confirmed his readiness to consider specific proposals from the Turkish side for developing cooperation and to support constructive initiatives.

At the end of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Omer Bolat expressed confidence in the further strengthening of bilateral economic relations.
