Fuel and energy sector performance for January 2026 discussed at government meeting

On February 6, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to review the country's performance in January of this year, TDH reports.

During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the work completed in January of this year to increase oil and gas production and expand supply routes to global markets.

As reported, the State Concern Turkmennebit fulfilled its oil production plan by 107.5 percent.

During the period under review, the plan for oil refining at oil refineries was fulfilled at 106.4 percent, gasoline production at 126.5 percent, diesel fuel at 104.6 percent, polypropylene at 100 percent, lubricants at 100 percent, liquefied gas at 122.1 percent, and natural and associated gas production at 108.3 percent.

Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that practical steps must be taken to implement the work outlined in the country's Oil and Gas Industry Development Program.

The head of state also instructed the Vice-Chairman to implement comprehensive measures aimed at increasing natural gas and oil production, developing hydrocarbon deposits, and consistently expanding the industry's production capacity.
