The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ambassador of Pakistan discussed preparations for joint events in 2026

Preparations for joint events and high-level visits in 2026 were discussed on January 7 at a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Pakistan, Faryal Leghari, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on its website.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues in the context of the further implementation of joint measures to advance bilateral ties in the new year.

Particular emphasis was placed on the sixth meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, political consultations at the level of the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries, and the Turkmen-Pakistani Business Forum, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

The parties also discussed issues related to preparations for high-level government visits planned for the current year.

In addition, a list of bilateral documents scheduled for signing in 2026 was reviewed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan noted.
