Afghan businessmen purchased urea and liquefied gas at exchange trading

Twenty-three transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.

Business representatives from Afghanistan purchased urea and liquefied gas produced at the processing facilities of the State Corporation Turkmenchemistry using foreign currency.

Cotton yarn and cotton fiber were also sold for foreign currency. The purchasing countries were Turkey and Georgia.

The total value of the transactions exceeded 5,972,000 US dollars.

Domestic entrepreneurs purchased base oil, petroleum coke, and polypropylene produced by the Turkmenhimiýa State Corporation, as well as potassium chloride (State Corporation “Turkmenchemistry”), Portland cement, and cotton yarn for the domestic market. The total amount of transactions amounted to more than 345 million 219 thousand manats.
