Commercial production has begun at the new Hazarly-2 gas well in the Lebap region, commissioned by the Lebapgazchykarysh department, the Turkmenistan Information Center reports.

Drilling operations were carried out by specialists from the Marynebitgazgozleg expedition of the State Corporation Turkmengeology. The well is located at the promising Hazarly site, near the Bovrideshik gas field, and is the first production point in this area.

The new well's design capacity reaches 120,000 cubic meters of natural gas per day, creating additional opportunities for increasing the production of environmentally friendly fuel, which is in demand both domestically and internationally.

The department's production indicators demonstrate stable growth. Over the first 11 months of this year, the gas production plan was more than 101% fulfilled, reaching 8.516 billion cubic meters. By the end of the year, this figure is expected to reach 9.3 billion cubic meters. 28,039 tons of gas condensate were also produced, exceeding the planned level by 2,235 tons.

The increased production also had a positive impact on exports. Natural gas exports exceeded the planned volume by almost 41%, equivalent to an additional 1.38 billion cubic meters sent to foreign consumers.

Since the beginning of the year, the administration's gas production enterprises have extracted 20.908 billion cubic meters of gas, making a significant contribution to strengthening the country's economic potential.
