The President of Turkmenistan and the Emperor of Japan discussed prospects for interstate partnership

On December 19, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Emperor Naruhito of Japan to discuss priority areas of interstate partnership, TDH reports.
Japan is one of the leading countries in terms of new technologies and advanced industrial production, said Serdar Berdimuhamedov, noting that Turkmenistan, with its vast natural resource reserves, is relying on Japanese technological solutions and experience in their development.
In this regard, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to ensuring environmental well-being and is interested in Japanese developments in areas such as green energy, water resource management, and environmental technologies.
Confirming Turkmenistan's openness to further deepening cooperation with Japan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked Emperor Naruhito for his significant personal contribution to the development of interstate cooperation.
Emperor Naruhito expressed confidence that the current, second visit of the Turkmen leader to Japan will be a significant step towards further strengthening and expanding interstate cooperation.
Congratulating Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the successful holding of the Peace and Trust Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, Naruhito noted the importance of Ashgabat's initiatives in the international arena.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Emperor of Japan expressed confidence in a long-term strategic partnership across a wide range of areas.
