The President of Turkmenistan will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on November 24-25. Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on preparations for the Turkmen leader's upcoming visit to the neighboring country at a government meeting on November 21, TDH reports.

As noted, one of the priority vectors of Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy is the consistent development of traditional friendly dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation with neighboring countries. The fruitful interstate partnership with Kazakhstan, demonstrating positive momentum, covers a wide range of areas. A solid legal framework for cooperation has been established, enshrined in 180 bilateral documents.

Regular reciprocal visits and high-level meetings play a key role in strengthening and developing Turkmen-Kazakh relations. Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan cooperate effectively within reputable international organizations, primarily the UN, supporting each other's constructive initiatives.

As noted, trade and economic cooperation is actively developing, and mutual trade volumes are increasing. Furthermore, great importance is attached to deepening cultural and humanitarian ties.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of Turkmenistan's close neighboring partner states. The two countries maintain friendly and brotherly relations. In this regard, the head of state instructed the Vice-Chairman and Minister of Foreign Affairs to prepare appropriately for the upcoming state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
