A delegation from Turkmenistan participated in the CAREC 2025 Business Forum and the 24th Ministerial Conference of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program "Green and Digital CAREC," held in Bishkek from November 18–20, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meetings, representatives from Turkmenistan reaffirmed their country's commitment to further strengthening regional economic cooperation, promoting sustainable development, and expanding cooperation in digital modernization. They noted the relevance of the forum's theme, which emphasizes the need for an integrated approach to environmental sustainability and the implementation of modern technological solutions.

The Turkmen delegation supported the updated CAREC strategic documents, which cover priority areas of cooperation in the transport, trade, digital, and social spheres. In this regard, information was presented on the work being carried out in Turkmenistan to modernize national infrastructure, develop digital services, improve customs administration, and strengthen the capacity of the healthcare system, including the implementation of climate-resilient and digital solutions.

Following the conference, a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the CAREC Digital Corridor and the Bishkek Ministerial Declaration on the commencement of negotiations on the CAREC Trade and Investment Facilitation Partnership Agreement (CARTIF) were signed.
