Turkmenistan's Foreign Ministry Discussed Preparations for the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Summit

Turkmenistan Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, Joo Hyun-baek, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reported on its website on November 20.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues in the political, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. It was noted that high-level visits and contacts play a decisive role in strengthening and expanding Turkmen-Korean relations, the Foreign Ministry wrote.

Special attention was paid to preparations for the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Summit.

Noting the long-standing successful activities of Korean companies in Turkmenistan, the parties reviewed the progress of existing projects in various fields.

The diplomats also discussed the participation of the Republic of Korea delegation in the International Forum for Peace and Trust, scheduled for December 12, 2020, in Ashgabat.
