The President of Turkmenistan discussed the priority areas of cooperation with the new Qatar Ambassador

On November 18, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the new Qatar Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Qatar to Turkmenistan Nasser Bin Ahmed Al Taher, who presented credentials to the head of state, according to TDH.
The head of Turkmenistan stressed that our country attaches great importance to strengthening and expanding cooperation with Qatar. As noted, at present, bilateral relations are distinguished by a high level of mutual understanding.
Turkmenistan is aimed at further strengthening interstate interaction on a long-term basis and its introduction to a new level. Mutual visits at the highest level contribute to the promotion of productive partnerships.
During the meeting, the presence of wide opportunities for the development of trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and Qatar was emphasized. The fuel and energy complex, trade, investment, transport and communications, chemical industry, textile and agricultural industries, health care and high technologies were named among the promising areas of cooperation.
For a more efficient realization of partnership potential in these areas, the need to intensify the activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Katar Commission was noted.
The head of state also noted the presence of great opportunities for interaction in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
