On October 22, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Saeed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and Dragon Oil, and Abdulkarim Al Maazmi, Acting Chairman of Dragon Oil, TDH reports.

The businessmen noted the success of the state policy to diversify the country's fuel and energy sector, as well as its growing international standing as an energy power.

The company executives noted their honor to work in Turkmenistan, which has created a favorable investment climate, and expressed gratitude to the head of state and Chairman of the People's Council Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for their ongoing support in effectively operating in the Turkmen market.

The head of state emphasized that during the visit, the guests will participate in the International Conference and Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – 2025" and learn about the large-scale activities and achievements of our country in this area. In this context, confidence was expressed that the results of the upcoming meetings will contribute to the further development and strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

As noted, relations between Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates are currently developing dynamically based on the principles of mutual respect and trust, both bilaterally and within international organizations.

Today, the oil and gas sector is one of Turkmenistan's fastest-growing industries. The development strategy for this sector is primarily aimed at producing locally sourced products in demand within the national economy, as well as export-oriented goods. In this regard, the positive experience of cooperation with Dragon Oil was noted.

Emphasizing that Turkmenistan is implementing fundamental reforms and creating favorable conditions for doing business, the head of state confirmed our country's readiness to consider specific proposals from the Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and Dragon Oil to expand their partnership.

At the end of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the mutually beneficial partnership will continue to develop effectively.
