The President of Turkmenistan and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation discussed prospects for interstate cooperation

On October 13, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin, who was visiting our country, TDH reports.

Noting that Russia highly values ​​its strategic partnership with Turkmenistan, Khusnullin conveyed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to the country's leadership.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in returning greetings to the Russian leadership, also emphasized the importance of the Deputy Prime Minister's visit in maintaining regular intergovernmental dialogue between the two countries.

As noted during the meeting, Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to expanding and strengthening its strategic partnership with the Russian Federation. Today, interstate relations, based on the principles of friendship, trust, and equality, are developing successfully in all areas.

The parties noted with satisfaction that Turkmen-Russian cooperation is developing effectively not only bilaterally but also multilaterally, as evidenced by constructive interaction within the UN and the CIS. In this context, the importance of the Central Asia-Russia partnership was emphasized.

As noted, trade and economic ties are an important area of ​​Turkmen-Russian cooperation. For many years, the Russian Federation has been one of Turkmenistan's leading trading partners.

Significant importance is also attached to cultural and humanitarian cooperation, with contacts in science, education, culture, and healthcare occupying a special place.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to consistently strengthen friendly interstate dialogue.
