Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his birthday and emphasized his readiness to deepen Chinese-Turkmen relations.

"Dear Mr. President! On the occasion of your birthday, I have the honor to express my sincere congratulations and best wishes," the Chinese leader wrote in a letter published on September 22 on the TDH website.

Xi Jinping recalled Serdar Berdimuhamedov's recent visit to China to participate in the SCO Summit and the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II.

"We held a meeting during which we had an in-depth exchange of views on bilateral cooperation in various areas and reached a broad consensus, which identified areas for further strengthening the traditional friendship and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries," Xi Jinping noted.

He emphasized that he pays "great attention to the development of Chinese-Turkmen relations and is ready to make joint efforts to advance the construction of a Community of Shared Future for the benefit of our peoples."

The Chinese President wished Serdar Berdimuhamedov good health and prosperity.
