On September 17, Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Cho Seung-il, Executive Vice President of Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., according to the Turkmenistan Foreign Ministry's website.
The two sides confirmed their commitment to further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and implementing joint projects.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches particular importance to strengthening long-term relations with the Republic of Korea and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in priority economic sectors.
The parties discussed the successful activities of Korean companies in Turkmenistan's oil, gas, and chemical industries, particularly emphasizing their effective collaboration with Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. In particular, they noted the signing of a contract for the construction of a mineral fertilizer production complex at a chemical plant in Turkmenabat. Particular attention is paid to the activities of Korean companies implementing a project to create a modern medical cluster in Arkadag city.
