Ambassador of Turkmenistan discussed steps to strengthen bilateral cooperation at the Italian Foreign Ministry

A meeting between Ambassador of Turkmenistan in this country Toyly Komekov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic E. Cirielli was held at the Italian Foreign Ministry, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported on its website on September 4.

During the meeting, further steps were discussed to strengthen bilateral cooperation within the framework of international organizations and deepen relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and scientific-cultural spheres, in particular, holding various events with the participation of heads of relevant departments and organizing cultural events.

Particular attention was paid to the organization of an exhibition of unique artifacts discovered on the territory of ancient Margiana and Nisa in the Capitoline Museum of Rome, including valuable finds made by joint Turkmen-Italian archaeological expeditions.

The meeting also discussed the organization of the visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic this year.

At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
