Mentoring is the key to professional growth of young specialists

The creation of a scientific and practical seminar for young scientists and specialists of the Natural Gas Research Institute of the State Concern "Turkmengas" is aimed at improving the professional level, knowledge and scientific culture of young scientists and specialists, in particular, in the field of mastering innovative technologies aimed at solving geotechnological problems and geological and geophysical research, developing gas fields, producing and processing natural gas, discussing economic and environmental issues in the gas industry and introducing them into production.

In accordance with the work plan of the next scientific and practical seminar of young scientists and specialists, held within the walls of the Research Institute, young specialists were widely acquainted with laboratory methods of complex analysis of core, selected from the geological section of wells in the laboratory of formation physics of the industrial geology department of the institute by our geologists and experienced specialists of the laboratory Hanmuhammed Nurmuhammedov and Andrey Blinov.

Methods for determining the lithological and petrographic properties of samples and their measuring equipment were discussed in detail. The participants of the seminar were provided with information on the progress of the laboratory's work on the topic "Transfer of lithological and petrophysical data of core, selected from exploratory wells in the territories of the Amu Darya oil and gas system, to a digital system."

The listeners were also acquainted with the work carried out using modern software "JavaScript" for the analysis of lithological-petrographic and permeability data of exploratory wells drilled in the relevant regions.
