Ashgabat to host international events as part of Turkmenistan's chairmanship in SPECA

A number of international events will be held in Ashgabat in November-December, as part of Turkmenistan's chairmanship in 2025 in the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA).
This was announced at a government meeting held digitally on July 25 by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov. As noted, work is currently underway to organize the upcoming events.
In particular, according to the plan, the Economic Forum, the 20th meeting of the Governing Council, meetings of working groups in areas, etc. are scheduled to be held in Ashgabat in November-December.
In order to organize them, the Ministry of Finance and Economy, together with the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN Office in Geneva and the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), are preparing to hold "SPECA Days" in Ashgabat.
High-ranking delegations from the countries participating in the programme, representatives of the UNECE, specialized international structures, and authoritative experts are expected to participate.
Having heard the report, the head of state noted the importance of consistent development of international cooperation to ensure the stability of the country's economy, instructing the Vice-Chairman to properly prepare for the international events of the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) scheduled in Ashgabat.
