International Forum on Attracting Investments into the Private Sector of Turkmenistan Starts Its Work in Ashgabat

The International Forum on Attracting Investments into the Private Sector “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan” (IFT-2025) started in the capital’s Yildiz Hotel on March 18.

IFT-2025 is being held as part of the exhibition and conference dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan. The forum has become an important platform for discussing investment opportunities for Turkmen small and medium-sized businesses, exchanging experiences and establishing cooperation between the public and private sectors.

The forum brought together major investors, entrepreneurs, representatives of financial institutions and government agencies to consider the development prospects of various sectors of the economy.

The event was opened by Kerim Akmammedov, a member of the Board of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET). As part of the ceremony, a video dedicated to the achievements of the private sector of Turkmenistan was shown.

Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech.

The meeting is attended by representatives of Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, France, Turkey, Germany, Great Britain, Estonia, and the USA.

All conditions have been created for the participants of the event to familiarize themselves with priority projects in industry, transport, agriculture, information technology and other sectors, as well as with measures to support the private sector, to establish relations with international and local investors, business representatives, and to receive expert advice on the best global practices for doing business and investing in the region.

The meeting participants will also discuss international experience and prospects for cooperation, present new projects and investment proposals.

Bilateral documents are expected to be signed following the forum.
