Representatives of Turkmenistan and the World Bank discussed prospects for expanding cooperation

Prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed on February 27 at a meeting at the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan with World Bank Vice President Antonella Bassani. The meeting was also attended by World Bank regional directors and representatives of the International Finance Corporation, the ministry reported.

The subject of the meeting was ways to expand cooperation between Turkmenistan and the World Bank Group. During the discussions, the parties outlined further steps to implement joint projects in priority areas for Turkmenistan.

The World Bank expressed its readiness to support Turkmenistan in its efforts to implement economic reforms aimed at diversifying the economy and achieving strategic goals.

As noted by the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Mammetguly Astanagulov, successful interaction with the World Bank is an important factor in the implementation of long-term programs of our country and confirmed the desire to further strengthen the partnership to ensure stable and inclusive development.
