Cooperation between the Central Asian countries and the European Union in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields was discussed during a working meeting by deputy foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries and representatives of the European Union, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.

Deputy Foreign Minister Myahri Byashimova took part in the negotiations held via videoconference from the Turkmen side.

The meeting participants examined in detail the organizational issues related to the upcoming meetings in the “European Union – Central Asia” format scheduled for March and April of this year.

The participants in the working meeting noted a significant intensification of relations between Central Asia and the EU at the highest political level, the Foreign Ministry notes.
