Current issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed at a meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan A. Gochmyradov and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Tajikistan Mr. M.S. Sarwar, the International Information Center of Turkmenistan reported on February 18 with reference to the Turkmen diplomatic department in Dushanbe.

The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing their commitment to strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Pakistan.

Particular attention was paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects in energy, transport and communications.

The parties noted the importance of continuing a constructive dialogue and active interaction within the framework of international and regional organizations.

It was emphasized that Turkmenistan's foreign policy, based on the principles of neutrality, peace and trust, plays an important role in ensuring stability and security in the region.
