On February 9, 2025, proclaimed the International Year of Peace and Trust, a reporting meeting was held in the Central Building of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the results of the work done in 2024, held under the motto "The Fount of Mind of Magtymguly Pyragy".
During the meeting, the tasks set for the oil and gas industry by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on February 7, dedicated to the results of the country's socio-economic development for 2024, were discussed, and specific ways of further progressing work in this direction were considered.
Opening the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov emphasized that thanks to the attention and support of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, work is being systematically and consistently carried out to improve the activities of the oil and gas industry, modernize its material and technical base. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister noted the importance of effectively solving the problems set before the domestic fuel and energy complex.
During the meeting, the State Minister of Turkmenistan - Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengas" Maksat Babayev, Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmennebit" Guvanch Agajanov, Chairman of the State Corporation "Turkmengeology" Gurbangeldy Garlyev, as well as the heads of associations, departments, organizations and enterprises of the complex presented reports on the work done and the tasks facing the complex.
The speeches included information on the production of oil, gas condensate and liquefied gas in the country, the development of cooperation with leading foreign companies, the widespread use of a digital system in the activities of the complex, accelerating the pace of work at the Galkynysh field, uninterrupted supply of natural gas to the population, large production facilities, power plants and foreign consumers, as well as the successful implementation of the tasks set for the new 2025 and other equally relevant areas. During the meeting, Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov emphasized the need for constant monitoring of major projects being implemented in the country's oil and gas complex, the widespread introduction of modern technologies in the industry, timely fulfillment of production plans, familiarization of young specialists with the activities carried out on the ground. Having outlined the specific tasks facing the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit”, the State Corporation “Turkmengeology”, Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov wished the industry workers success in developing the oil and gas sector and effectively solving the tasks set.
Ashyrguly Begliyev, Advisor to the President of Turkmenistan on Oil and Gas Issues, having emphasized the priority areas in the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan, voiced his proposals for further increasing the pace of development of the fuel and energy complex, in particular, in searching for and discovering new deposits, studying new technologies in the implementation of large projects, attracting foreign investment, and improving the qualifications of specialists in the complex.
