Consuls General of Turkmenistan and Pakistan Discuss Implementation of Fuel and Energy Complex Projects

The implementation of joint projects in the fuel and energy complex was discussed on February 3 at a meeting between the new Consul General of Pakistan in Herat (Afghanistan) Haider Manaver and Consul General of Turkmenistan Batyr Yolov, ORIENT News reports.

During the meeting, which took place at the Consulate General of Turkmenistan, the parties noted the high level of cooperation between the two countries. The diplomats discussed issues of bilateral relations in the political, trade, economic and humanitarian spheres.

The interlocutors exchanged views on joint projects, including the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission lines, as well as other initiatives.

It was emphasized that these projects play an important role in ensuring peace in Afghanistan and the entire region, as well as in its economic development.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Pakistan.
